TERMS OF SERVICE
Terms of service
Effective 31 October 2026. These terms apply to gdatech.ae and to WhatsApp Reception, the managed WhatsApp receptionist service provided by GDA Consulting Ltd.
Who we are
GDA Consulting Ltd (“GDA”, “we”) is a company registered in the United Kingdom. Contact: contact@gdatech.co.uk. “You” means the business that uses the service (the “client”), or a visitor to this website, as the context requires.
The service
WhatsApp Reception is a WhatsApp receptionist that GDA sets up and runs for a client business. It replies to customer enquiries in English and Arabic, answers from the client’s approved services, prices and FAQs, collects enquiry details, books appointments within the client’s rules, and hands conversations to the client’s team when needed. The client can pause it and reply by hand at any time.
The scope of each engagement (one business, one WhatsApp number, message volume, support hours and any integrations) is agreed in writing before work starts. If that written agreement conflicts with these terms, the written agreement wins.
Fees and the first-month guarantee
- Fees are as agreed in writing before work starts. The one-time setup fee is paid upfront and is not refundable once setup has begun.
- The monthly fee is billed in advance each month. Either side can stop the monthly service with 30 days’ written notice.
- Where the agreed offer includes the first-month guarantee: before launch we agree a baseline of WhatsApp enquiries and bookings. If, after 30 days live, the receptionist has not turned more missed enquiries into bookings than that baseline, the client does not pay that month’s fee. The guarantee applies only while the WhatsApp number stays connected and the receptionist is left running, and it does not cover the setup fee.
The client’s responsibilities
- Give accurate information about services, prices, opening hours and policies, and tell us when it changes. The receptionist answers from what the client approves.
- Have the right to use the WhatsApp number, and to message the customers who contact it.
- Keep dashboard logins private and tell us at once about any unauthorised use.
- Handle conversations the receptionist hands over, and honour bookings it makes within the client’s rules.
- Use the service lawfully, including data protection and consumer law, and WhatsApp’s own terms.
How WhatsApp is connected
Unless agreed otherwise, the client’s number is linked the way WhatsApp Web is, by scanning a QR code. This is not WhatsApp’s official Business API. WhatsApp can limit or block numbers connected this way, and GDA cannot prevent that. For a number the business cannot afford to lose, we recommend starting on a second number. Moving to the official API is available as a separately scoped upgrade.
AI replies
Replies are written by an AI model, checked by the service against the client’s approved information, and limited to what the client has configured. AI can still make mistakes. The client remains responsible for its prices, offers and customer commitments, and should review conversations, especially early on. The receptionist says honestly that it is a virtual receptionist when asked.
What the service is not for
- Medical, clinical or other health-related services.
- Unsolicited bulk messaging or spam. The receptionist only replies to people who message first.
- Anything unlawful, deceptive, or that infringes others’ rights.
We may suspend the service if it is used in these ways.
Google Calendar
A client can connect a Google Calendar so offered times avoid the owner’s busy times and bookings appear in that calendar. Connecting is optional and can be undone at any time from the dashboard. How we handle Google data is described in our Privacy Policy.
Data
Our Privacy Policy explains what data we process and why. For conversations on a client’s number, the client decides how customer data is used and GDA processes it on the client’s behalf. On request, we export or delete a client’s data, and we delete it when the service ends.
Ownership
The client owns its content: its business information, knowledge base and customer conversations. GDA owns the software and the service, and gives the client the right to use them while the service is active.
Availability
We work to keep the service running day and night, and monitor it. It also depends on others, including WhatsApp, internet providers and AI providers, so we cannot promise it will be uninterrupted. If it stops replying, unanswered conversations wait for the client’s team.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, GDA is not liable for lost profits, lost business or indirect losses, and GDA’s total liability in any 12 months is limited to the fees the client paid GDA in that period.

gdatech.ae and its demo are provided for information. The browser demo is a simulation with a fictional business and illustrative prices. Messaging our live WhatsApp receptionist is covered by our Privacy Policy.
Changes and law
We may update these terms and will change the date at the top. Clients will be told about significant changes at least 30 days before they apply. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
